# Unix Shell (Level 1 -- Data + Computing)

Instructor: Jeanine Finn (Data Science & Digital Scholarship Coordinator at the Claremont Library)

## Summary

Learning to work with files in the Unix shell environment can help you manage data projects more efficiently and effectively across a range of computing environments. This workshop will cover the basics of Unix shell commands for navigating the file system, moving and copying files, and writing simple loops to automate tedious tasks.
